Silence No More Movement (SNMM) is dedicated to disrupting the cycle of abuse in domestic violence and human trafficking
The grassroots approach is the soul of everything SNMM has built. Real conversations, real people, real trust one survivor, one neighbor, one partner at a time.
In January 2023, after three decades of hands-on work cultivating authentic relationships with survivors across ages, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and races, listening deeply, and forging partnerships with aligned organizations, SNMM was formally established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
SNMM is transforming the narrative and stigma around domestic violence and human trafficking. Through advocacy, education, and genuine community engagement, we strive to create safer futures where survivors are not just surviving, they're thriving, and no one has to do it alone. SNMM believes this sustained, grassroots approach significantly helps decrease the number of times survivors return to their abusers, an average of 7 to 12 times, making long-term healing and new beginnings possible.
SNMM
Empower. Advocate. Transform. Amplify
By partnering closely with survivors, organizations, and leaders, we work to break cycles of abuse in domestic violence and human trafficking, reduce isolation, and build the sustainable support systems needed for lasting healing and change.
Mission
A world where no survivor walks alone, where cycles of abuse are disrupted at their roots, and every person affected by domestic violence or human trafficking can step confidently into thriver-ship—safe, empowered, and supported by a united community that listens, acts, and never looks away.
Vision
Empowerment –We uplift survivors by providing resources, unwavering support, and safe platforms to reclaim their voices and step into thriver-ship.
Collaboration – We partner deeply with survivors, communities, organizations, and leaders to co-create sustainable, lasting change.
Advocacy – We amplify the lived experiences and voices of those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking to drive policy reform, raise awareness, and shift narratives.
Awareness and Education – We deliver training, resources, and community awareness to prevent abuse, equip individuals with practical tools for safety, and support long-term healing.
Accountability – We challenge harmful systems, behaviors, and institutions that perpetuate abuse—while encouraging everyone to learn more, stay informed about emerging tactics like ghostlighting, and evolve together. We hold individuals, organizations, and structures responsible through transparency, integrity, and a commitment to continuous growth and awareness.
